Hello and welcome to Year 5 Class.

Thank you for taking the time to look at all the exciting things we get up to!

Our teacher is Miss Steeples. Mrs Broad, Mrs Eldred, Mrs O’Leary and Mr Deacon also work with us at different times during the week.

Heavenly Father,

Thank you for your everlasting love, which we hold in our heart and spread to those around us,

Encourage us to be better people in our actions and in our words, motivating us to be greater missionary disciples,

As Pilgrims of Hope during this Jubilee year, help us to be forgiving, generous and patient to everyone we encounter,

Please shape us into the image of your son as we believe, succeed and soar throughout Year 5,

Guide us to walk in the light and follow in Jesus’ footsteps.

Important things to remember this term:

• Our PE day is swimming on a Monday – please come to school in PE kit on these days and bring your swim kit (costume/ trunks, hat, goggles and towel).
• Children need to be reading every night (independently or with an adult) and they need to record the Title of the book, page numbers read and a short summary in their reading logs. They have a reading for pleasure book from school that they have chosen from the library themselves and can take home.
• Healthy snacks only at break time please – a piece of fruit is best! No energy drinks or sugary snacks and nothing containing nuts.
