Hello and welcome to Year 5 Class.

Thank you for taking the time to look at all the exciting things we get up to!

Our teacher is Miss Steeples. Miss Frati, Mrs Davey and Miss Henderson also work with us at different times during the week.

Year 5 Class Prayer

Dear Lord,

Thank you for allowing us to celebrate our differences and speak with freedom and honesty,

Give us all the strength to shine as the class of Saint Francis of Assisi,

Encourage us to open our hearts by showing love and living our daily lives as missionary disciples,

Help us to encounter God in all that we do, show forgiveness and be respectful,

Remind us to be the best that we can be, on our journey, when we believe, succeed and soar,

Amen

Important things to remember this term:

• Our PE days are Tuesday and Friday – please come to school in PE kit on these days.
• We are also in the WOW Area each Thursday so please come in your WOW clothes and bring your wellies to change into and extra layers in case it’s cold.
• Children need to be reading every night (independently or with an adult) and they need to record the Title of the book, page numbers read and a short summary in their reading logs. They have a reading for pleasure book from school that they have chosen from the library themselves and can take home.
• Healthy snacks only at break time please – a piece of fruit is best! No energy drinks or sugary snacks and nothing containing nuts.
