ECO Council

Eco Council

Our Eco Team is a group of enthusiastic pupils who are passionate about caring for God’s creation. We meet every other Monday to discuss ways that we can make our school more environmentally friendly and encourage everyone to look after our planet. We help to raise awareness of important environmental issues and lead projects that make a positive difference to our school community.

This year, the Eco Team will be working on a range of exciting projects, including:

• Opening our new Pre-Loved Uniform Shed to encourage recycling and reduce waste.
• Planting trees around the school grounds to help care for the environment.
• Raising awareness of electricity and water usage and finding ways to reduce waste.
• Acting as Energy Detectives by carrying out regular walks around the school to identify ways to save energy.
• Encouraging pupils and families to walk, cycle or scoot to school whenever possible.
• Promoting the use of less plastic and encouraging reusable alternatives in our lunches.
• Creating homes for local wildlife and helping to increase biodiversity around our school.

Through these projects, we hope to inspire our school community to make small changes that will have a big impact on the future of our planet. Together, we can all do our part to care for God’s creation.
