St Thérèse of Lisieux Catholic Multi Academy Trust


This is an exciting opportunity to join a newly formed Catholic Multi Academy Trust.   St Thérèse of Lisieux CMAT is one of four newly created Catholic Multi Academy Trusts (CMAT’s) in the Diocese of Nottingham, which provides consistent, proactive and high quality support and services to all our head teachers, senior leaders and trustees.
St Mary’s Catholic Voluntary Academy is a vibrant, friendly school with a commitment to ensuring all children reach their full potential both academically and socially.
We wish to appoint an experienced, creative and caring teaching assistant to support a child with complex needs, with an Education and Health Care Plan (EHCP).
The appointee will work closely with the class teachers and other professionals to support emotional, communication and learning needs. They will be responsible for delivering bespoke programmes of learning and creating resources under the guidance of class teacher and other professionals involved in the child’s care. The appointee will work well as part of a team and support liaison between home, school and other agencies.

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Experience working in a primary school setting;  
  • TA experience and NVQ qualifications desirable; 
  • Experience of working in a one to one /small group capacity with children with learning difficulties; 
  • Energy and initiative; 
  • Willingness to develop and learn with and from others; 
  • A ‘can-do’ attitude and a positive outlook.

This post is temporary until the child leaves the school or there is a change to the EHCP.
Although it is not necessary to be a Catholic, applicants must have regard for our Mission Statement and Catholic ethos.
